FAQ - Frequently asked questions & answers about wine courses

All about registration & cancellation

How do I get information about availability and prices?

Prices, availability and all information about the conditions can be found on the detail page of the respective event. Simply select the appropriate wine course on the category page.

How can I book as a group?

Registering multiple participants is no problem. To do this, select the required number (if available) on the detail page of the event, place it in the shopping cart and complete the registration via the checkout.

Please note: The participant who carries out the registration guarantees that (s)he is entitled to register all participants in the group, that (s)he can make all declarations for them and that all participants are informed of
the conditions of participation, the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Terms of Service.

One more note: Due to the space available, we can seat up to 6 (in exceptional cases 8) people at a table. That's why we also offer "private events" for larger groups.

I would like to give the wine course as a gift. How do I receive a greeting card?

If the email with the registration confirmation is too plain, you have the option of purchasing a greeting card, which we will then send by mail. Additional costs apply.

I registered online, but the confirmation of registration has not yet arrived. What can I do?

Please check whether the email with the confirmation was classified as spam (in the spam folder). If you cannot find the confirmation, please contact us either by phone or using the contact form below so that we can verify your registration.

I fell ill before the event or my plans have changed. Can I cancel?

Cancellation is possible up to 14 days before the date of the event. We charge a fee of EUR 5 per cancelled participant for processing the cancellation. Refunds will be made using the same payment method(s) used to register.

Please inform us of your cancellation request in writing by email or using the contact form.

We cannot fulfil cancellation requests that reach us less than 14 days before the date of the event. Please understand that we also have to act economically and cannot make any exceptions. If you expressly request it, we can offer the places that are no longer required online again. If registrations are received for these places, we will of course refund you the amount. Alternatively, you can transfer your registration(s) to friends or acquaintances yourself. All information about cancellation can be found in the conditions of participation.

All about the event itself

What public transport can I use to get to the event?

Subway/Tube
Station Schlesisches Tor (Lines: U1, U3, U12), 5 minutes walk

Suburban train
Station Warschauer Straße (Lines: S3, S5, S7, S9, S75, S85), 10-15 minutes walk

Bus
Stop Falckensteinstraße (Lines: 165, 265), 2-3 minutes walk

Is there parking on site?

Our shop is in a restricted traffic area with limited parking spaces. It is therefore advisable to use public transport or a taxi to get to the event.

The event starts at 8 p.m. When does the door open? How long does the wine tasting last?

In our shop, wine sales and events practically merge into one another. Therefore, we await you with an aperitif at around 7:45 pm. This ensures a relaxed start to the evening. :-)

The duration of the event is usually 2 - 2.5 hours. During this time we taste the wines of the evening.

Should I have eaten something before attending the wine tasting?

The focus of our events is clearly on wine. It is also a tasting where bread and water are the primary companions. Therefore, a certain "base" is always recommended. ;-)

In the case of culinary themes, e.g. wine & cheese or wine & chocolate, we present cheese or chocolate tailored to the respective wine. These serve the taste experience, but do not represent a full-fledged dish. Therefore, our tip with the "base" applies here as well.

I am a vegetarian/vegan or have an allergy. Can you take this into account?

For organizational reasons, we cannot respond to existing food intolerances or to culture-specific or alternative forms of nutrition. A significant part of our wine range - and thus also of the wines presented in the wine events - is not vegan. The bread we offer usually contains allergens. Participants are free to bring a suitable replacement to the wine event.

Do you offer non-alcoholic alternatives?

No, we do not offer non-alcoholic alternatives or wines with no or low alcohol to the event's tasting wines. Nonetheless, there is water to refresh or neutralize the taste buds.

I have registered but I am accompanied by others who have registered separately. Can we sit together?

We can only arrange for individually registered participants to sit together if we are informed in advance of the event who is coming to the wine tasting as a group. Either directly when registering with a short message on the shopping cart page, by email or via our contact form.

Please note: Due to the space available, we can seat up to 6 (in exceptional cases 8) people at a table. However, we cannot guarantee that larger groups with separate registrations will sit together. In such cases, please contact us well in advance of the event.

Can/must I reserve a seat?

A seat reservation is not required and is not normally offered by us.

We use small bistro tables for up to 6 people at our events. In order to achieve a greater distance (keyword "corona protection"), we are expanding the event area with the help of bar tables and bar stools (upholstered and with backrests).

The majority of our guests come to our wine courses in twos or threes, some even alone. To enable chat and exchange, we therefore put 2-3 smaller groups together at a table. We place our guests according to the "first-come-first-serve" principle.

Anyone who explicitly does not want to sit with other participants should send us a request in good time. We will then try to offer a separate table.

If physical limitations require a normal seat and/or table height, please let us know in advance too. Either directly when registering with a short message on the shopping cart page, by email or via our contact form.

Can I bring my dog to the event?

You cannot bring your dog (or other pets) with you. There is always a chance that other participants may have an allergy or phobia.

Is the event area air-conditioned?

No, unfortunately our shop is not air-conditioned. Good air is still provided. We have an air purifier that filters out up to 99% of all germs and viruses.

There is no answer to your question yet?
